THE BUSINESS BEHIND STREETLY

Local commerce,
made easier to reach.

eStreet Services began with a practical ambition: give independent businesses more of the convenience and visibility people expect online, without losing what makes local shopping valuable.

That work became Streetly—a modern marketplace designed to put the high street in your hands, from first search to local fulfilment.

WHERE IT STARTED

A digital front door for the local high street.

People value local businesses for their knowledge, character and role in the community. Yet finding what is available can mean visiting several shops, calling around or searching through disconnected websites and social pages. Meanwhile, independent businesses are expected to provide the convenience of much larger online retailers without the same technology or resources.

eStreet Services was created to help close that gap. The early model brought neighbourhood businesses together as a connected marketplace, supported by coordinated local fulfilment. We sometimes described the high street as a community warehouse: much of what people need is already nearby, but it needs a better digital layer to make it easy to find and use.

Local shopping should feel as convenient as online shopping—while keeping local choice, relationships and value in the neighbourhood.

THE JOURNEY TO STREETLY

The original idea, developed into a dedicated platform.

Streetly carries the eStreet Services purpose forward with better search, clearer product information and one recognisable experience across devices.

01

Connect the neighbourhood

eStreet Services started by bringing local shops, useful services and customers into one digital journey. The aim was not to replace the high street, but to make its existing choice easier to discover and access online.

02

Make local fulfilment practical

Orders from different businesses need clear information, dependable handovers and sensible local delivery. That operational experience shaped how Streetly presents availability, sellers, collections and fulfilment choices today.

03

Build a platform that can grow

Streetly turns the original service into a dedicated marketplace across web, iOS and Android, with a shared catalogue and a clearer path from local product discovery to purchase.

DESIGNED AROUND REAL NEIGHBOURHOODS

Useful for shoppers. Valuable for businesses. Better connected locally.

Streetly is designed around the relationships that already make a high street work. Customers need confidence that information is current. Businesses need their own identity to remain visible. Local fulfilment needs to be practical rather than an afterthought.

Bringing those needs together creates a more useful marketplace—one where discovery can begin on the open website and continue securely through the Streetly app or web platform.

For local shoppers

Search nearby products, compare sellers and prices, explore shop-curated collections and continue into Streetly when you are ready to order.

For independent businesses

Gain another route to discovery while keeping the business, its products and its local identity visible throughout the customer journey.

For neighbourhoods

Make better use of the shops, services and shared resources that already exist locally, including participating Library of Things venues.

LOCAL DELIVERY, PRACTICALLY CONSIDERED

Technology is only useful when the real-world journey works too.

eStreet Services has always considered what happens after a customer presses order. Local businesses have different opening hours, preparation times, product types and collection arrangements. A neighbourhood marketplace has to reflect those realities rather than pretending every order is identical.

Streetly therefore presents fulfilment in the context of the businesses and items involved. Where suitable services are available, coordinated local delivery can reduce unnecessary journeys and make independent shops easier to use. Collection remains important too, particularly where it is the simplest option for the customer or business.

VISITING FROM THE ORIGINAL ESTREET SERVICES SITE?

The name has evolved. The local purpose continues.

Established eStreet Services links are redirected to the closest current Streetly destination. Where a business has a Streetly profile, the old link leads there—even if that business is not currently taking orders through the platform. Older product, help and partner links are also matched to their present equivalents.

Library of Things links lead to the dedicated information on the Streetly homepage. If a previous service or business is no longer available, Browse is the best place to see what is active today, and our team can help if you are unsure where to go.
