When they drew up the boundaries for Pouilly Fumé in the 1930s, this parcel of land wasn’t under vines. So it has missed out on the big name allotted to the parcels next door. It’s almost – “à peu prés” in French – a Pouilly Fumé. But it’s a lot more affordable.
