Well serrano means of the sierra – of the mountains – and this wine’s from the mountains above the Spanish coastal city of Alicante and benefits from the baking heat of the region tempered by the joint cooling effects of the altitude it’s grown at and Mediterranean sea breezes.We love this one for its balance of power and freshness: deep damson and cigar flavours cut through with brighter cherry and menthol.
