THE STREETLY EDIT
The Cosy Night In Edit
A comforting pasta supper, sourdough and truffle cheddar, something good to drink and a proper teatime finish. Discover eight autumn picks from four independent Streetly shops.

A Good Evening Starts Here
The clocks have changed, the evenings are drawing in, and staying home sounds rather appealing. This month, our shopping edit brings together eight finds from The Kensal Store, Farmers Market, Rise & Vine and Nisha Local. Think a comforting supper, a little cheeseboard, a drink of your choice and something sweet for later.
Treat this as a pick-and-mix, rather than a shopping list you have to complete. Choose the things that suit your evening, explore the shops behind them, and make a night in feel a little more considered.
Supper Without a Big Production
For the main event, start with Rana Mushroom & Mascarpone Tortelloni from The Kensal Store. The mushroom and creamy cheese filling makes it a comforting choice when you want a pasta supper without making filled pasta from scratch. Follow the cooking instructions on the pack and keep the rest of the plate simple.
A few slices of walnut sourdough from Farmers Market can sit alongside supper or be saved for a cheeseboard afterwards. There is no need to plan an elaborate menu: one good centrepiece and a couple of useful extras are plenty.
The Small Cheeseboard Upgrade
Aston's Bakehouse Walnut Sourdough and Howling Hound Black Truffle Cheddar are our two picks from Farmers Market. The bread brings walnut pieces and texture; the 200g cheddar adds a rich, truffly element. Put them together for an easy board to share, or enjoy a slice of each after dinner.
You could also toast a little of the sourdough and top it with the cheddar. This is an invitation to use the same ingredients in more than one way, rather than buy a whole cupboard of extras for a single evening.
Choose Your Glass
If you would like wine, Novas Gran Reserva Pinot Noir from Rise & Vine is our pick. Its listed red-fruit, earthy and lightly spicy notes make it an appealing match for the mushroom pasta or a bite of the truffle cheddar. Prefer beer? Samuel Smith Organic Pale Ale from Farmers Market offers a fuller, rounded alternative alongside the bread and cheese.
For a soft-drink option, try Duskin Cox Apple Juice from The Kensal Store. Its aromatic apple character fits the autumn mood and gives you another choice for the table. Wine and beer are optional and for adults aged 18 or over; enjoy responsibly.
Leave Room for Tea and Chocolate
Finish with something familiar from Nisha Local: Yorkshire Tea Bags in an 80-bag box and McVitie's Dark Chocolate Digestives in a 266g pack. Make the tea the way you like it, put a few biscuits on a plate, and settle in with a film, a book or good company.
